Good morning!!
Yesterday I created a beautiful bowl of oats... and they were so heavenly I decided to recreate these oats today and make a few adjustments.
I was rushed, so I didn't get a chance to snap a photo. We have construction in our house downstairs and there's a bunch of people working downstairs. I didn't want to be walking around in my pjs. :)
Heavenly oats:
1/3 cup of oats (I use Quaker large flake)
Add pumpkin pie spice while they're boiling (keep stirring with a spoon while they boil)
1/2 a banana (I like mine mushy :-p)
1 t almond butter
1 t semi-sweet chocolate chips (they melt and mix with the almond butter mmm...)
1 t unsweetened shredded coconut
1 t goji berries
Oats are so addictive. The best part is you can mix them with almost anything.
It's such a nice crisp fall morning. I'm going to take advantage of it and go for a run outside. I've been going to the gym every morning this week to use the machines, but today - outside is calling my name. :)

Happy Monday!!
Goodd morning!!
I have the day off work today, so naturally I slept in a little. After spending the entire day shopping yesterday, I slept like a baby last night. :)
I had an urge to bake this morning, so I decided to whip up a few muffins - my own creation. They are sugar-free, fat-free and flour-free. :)
Andddd most importantly - they are absolutely delicious!
- 1/2 cup of oats
- 1/2 cup of egg whites
- 1/2 a bananer
- 1 tsp of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Add the oats to the egg whites and drop in the banana. Next, use a mixer to mix it all together...I add some cinnamon, cardamom and a tiny bit of vanilla extract to the mix. Put them in the muffin tin and then drop the chocolate chips onto to them at the end. Bake in the oven for about 12 minutes at 400 degrees. :)
I put a pan with water on the bottom rack in the oven. I read in Tosca Reno's clean eating cookbook that it helps muffins grow nice & tall.
They were tres yummy!
Well, I'm off to the gym! I'm going to see if there's any workout classes at this new gym they opened near my house! :) Have a great day!!!

It's the weekend!!!!!
Good afternoon! What a gloomy Saturday... it's raining here in Toronto, but still it's the weekend and I don't get a lot of weekends off work, so I'll enjoy it either way. :)
I'm an early bird, but this morning I snoozed until about 10. For breakfast, I enjoyed a slice of Ezekiel bread and almond butter with half a banana sliced on top. I added three perfectly juicy strawberries to that combo. I also enjoyed a cup of coffee with a hint of skim milk. Perrrrfect!
I've been contemplating a run, but can't bring myself to run in the rain. I'm going to hit up the treadmill at the gym instead.
Now, something to think about...I picked up a Mo's Bacon Bar chocolate bar at the grocery store yesterday and it's been running through my mind ever since.
I have NEVER contemplated a chocolate and bacon mix, but hey it exists so there must be something to it, right? What do you think, has anyone tried this?
Off to the gym! I'll post later after I give this chocolate a try! ;)

Hi there!
So, this is my very first post here. I will not include pictures today because I'm kind of in a rush -- I work at 3:30pm. But, I will tell you what I ate for the day.
I had shredded wheat (unsweetened) with 1/2 a cup of soy milk and 1/2 a cup of blueberries.
Then, after taking my pup for a walk, I went to get my eye brows threaded and legs waxed (eeek).
When I got home, I was starveddd, so I had an apple with organic crunchy peanut butter. Mmm...
I have to admit... I haven't been very good with my eating lately. I have been struggling with getting on track for a couple weeks. I even did a few "apple detoxes" where all you eat is apples and drink water and herbal tea. Those helped rid me of my gluttonous appetite, but temporarily.
I decided I've had enough. I went to Chapters and bought a Food and Fitness diary yesterday. I called my gym this morning and signed up for five personal training sessions. I am going to conquer this little set back and get back on the wagon! Stay tuned... I'll update on my progress daily.
I'm going to think of some short and long terms goals and will post later today. Right now my goal is to eat clean and work out daily and get my energy levels up! :)
